RE

The RE department is a core subject within the school and regularly enables students to reach their full potential.  This has been demonstrated by good upward results, both at KS3 and KS4 over the last few years.

The department currently consists of three full time specialist teachers and 1 part-time specialist teacher.  There are three well equipped RE classrooms in the school, which provide a spiritual and respectful sanctuary for all students.

At KS3 pupils are taught three times over a two week timetable and cover aspects of the National Curriculum in an engaging and interesting way.  In KS4 all students study EdExcel full course GCSE RE.  50% of the exam (Religion and Life) is completed in Year 10, and the other 50% (Religion and Society) in Year 11.  Students have two lessons of RE per week, and is "enhanced" with Spirituality days in each year to assist with revision.
